Our culture is fascinated with longevity.

Every year new diets promise longer life.
New supplements promise renewed energy.
New technologies promise to slow aging itself.

But after years of practicing medicine, I’ve learned something surprising.

Healthy aging is about far more than the body. It is also about the mind, the spirit, and the habits that shape our daily lives.

Scripture reminds us that our well-being is deeply connected to our inner lives: “A cheerful heart is good medicine.”
—Proverbs 17:22

True longevity is not simply about adding years to life. It is about adding life to those years.

That means cultivating purpose, nurturing relationships, caring for our bodies, and maintaining a sense of hope and gratitude even as we grow older.

Because so many people ask how to do this well, I created a guide called Embracing Healthy Longevity.

It offers practical insights into maintaining physical health, strengthening mental resilience, and living each stage of life with intention.

A long life is a blessing. But a meaningful life is an even greater one.
