When a Dentist Found Jesus on Election Day

It was Election Day, and my husband Scott was helping a friend put up campaign signs when he got a lunch invite from his dentist.

Not for a cleaning. Not for a checkup. But to talk about Jesus.

See, Scott had been planting seeds for a while. Quiet, intentional conversations about faith. And that day, those seeds bloomed into salvation. The candidate lost the race, but the dentist found eternal life.

That’s the kind of race that really matters.

Too often we overcomplicate evangelism. We try to prove everything: creation timelines, apologetics, ancient texts. But the most powerful testimony is simple:

This is who Jesus is. This is what He did for me. And He can do it for you.

In Anticipating Heaven, I share stories not just of dying, but of living. Living with purpose, with clarity, with the kind of hope that spills out into every conversation.

You don’t need to be a scholar. You don’t need to carry anyone across the finish line. Jesus does that. You just need to be ready and willing.

Need help getting started? The Five Wishes Guide, which I’ve partnered to share, helps open the door to life-giving conversations about what matters most.

You don’t need all the answers. You just need your story and the Spirit. That’s enough.
